中文摘要：电影是一种艺术性与商业性并存的传播手段，受到了广大观众的喜爱。电影作为文化的载体在中西方文化交流融合中也扮演着重要的角色。随着中国对外开放程度增加，经济水平提高，人们对生活质量的追求，越来越多的外国电影进入到中国的电影市场中，尤其是英语电影。电影片名作为观众的第一印象，在传递影片信息、满足审美需求、激发观影兴趣、增加票房收入的过程中起到了举足轻重的作用。因此，英语电影的片名翻译扮演着非常重要的角色，好的电影译名能够为电影锦上添花。电影片名翻译正受到越来越多的关注，但仍存在翻译质量不稳定，译名版本众多等问题，值得进一步研究。

本文将尝试从传播学领域的把关理论角度研究分析英语电影片名的翻译。通过类比把关过程和翻译过程，分析影响翻译过程的因素并结合音译、直译、意译和另译这四种翻译方式来研究把关理论在翻译过程中的适用性和作用。本文旨在从把关理论这一新角度为英语电影片名翻译提供新的思考方向，使电影译名能够和原片名达到传达信息、表达情感、满足审美需求和吸引观众的功能对等，继而实现电影片名的信息、文化、审美和商业价值。
