一、教材内容分析
The main content of this unit is to express “frequency”. Section A helps students to master how to ask and express the content about frequency (frequency of exercise, frequency of daily activities, and frequency of study…). Section B helps students master how to use adverbs of frequency to express information by discussing diet and other ways of life, listening, reading and doing surveys. Self-check helps students review the vocabulary they have learned by filling in the blanks, and helps students consolidate their mastery of frequency adverbs through the open writing.
二、学习者特征分析
After learning English in Grade 7, most of students have gradually developed good English learning methods and habits, acquired certain ability of cooperative learning, and improved their English expression. But one of the disadvantages of learning English in this age is that students are not willing to use English for oral dialogue or group activities, so the teacher needs to try to reduce the difficulty of activities and combine with student’s interest to encourage students to participate in the class actively. In addition, students in Grade 7 have already learned some verb phrases about the activities such as watching TV, surfing the Internet and so on. And this topic is closely related to student’s daily life, so it is easy to arouse their enthusiasm for participation. Then in the later teaching activities, students can learn and cooperate with each other and perceive the usage of frequency adverbs from the activities.
