中文摘要：本文主要从跨文化交际的角度研究中文姓名的英译策略。首先通过分析中国姓名的结构特征以及历史渊源，并且将之与英语姓名进行对比，从而发现两种语言的各自特色。接下来通过分析姓名的文化内涵，进一步发现中文姓名以及英文姓名的共性与个性。随即列举出多种现存翻译策略，举出大量例证来探究音译、意译、注释译法以及创译这几种翻译策略的优劣势。最后指出，中文姓名的英译应在不同的情况下采用不同的翻译策略和翻译技巧。
