   本翻译实践的研究对象是《音乐能力影响中国大学生英语语音能力的实证研究》的节选，主要讲述介绍音乐能力究竟对英语语音能力会产生什么样的影响和如何产生影响。内容全面涵盖了音乐能力是如何影响中国大学生英语语音能力的诸多方面和研究所得到的发现，如：音乐能力强弱不同的学生在英语语音能力方面也会有着显著的差异、音乐能力主要影响英语能力体现在语音的超音段和产出层面、音乐经历在一定程度上会影响音乐能力等。研究最后指出音乐能力不仅是影响英语语音能力的非语言变量，而且还可能是影响二语语音习得的个体差异因素。 本课题主要对文章节选的精华部分进行英译。

翻译所选论文的主体，几乎完整的翻译了整篇论文，全面地向读者们展示了音乐能力和中国大学生英语语音能力之间的关系。全篇使用了论证说明的手法，加以大量的图片使得读者能够更加深刻和明了的了解两者之间的关系。

小论文里面简单介绍了原文本的内容、类型和语言风格，在翻译的过程中使用了哪些翻译理论和翻译技巧，指出了在翻译的期间遇到的重大困难以及解决的方法等。论文有着明确的主题，并不是空泛的理论描述，而是结合了本人翻译实践进行论述。

INTRODUCTION

The research object of this translation practice is the thesis An Empirical Study of Musical Ability Affects Chinese College Students' Phonological Competence of English, which mainly introduces the influence of music ability on English phonetic ability and how to influence it. The content comprehensively covers how musical ability affects the speaking and listening capability of Chinese college students' English and the other findings. Such as: music ability strong or weak of different students in English phonetics ability will also have significant difference, music ability main influence English ability is embodied in the super sound and voice output level, music experience to a certain extent affect the ability of music, etc. The study concludes that music ability is not only a non-linguistic variable that affects the ability of Oral English, but also an individual different factor that affects second language acquisition. This thesis mainly translated the essential part of the excerpt in this article excerpt.

The main body of the selected thesis, almost complete translation of the whole thesis, comprehensively showed the readers the relationship between music ability and Chinese college students' English phonetic ability. The method of argumentation was used in the whole article, and a large number of pictures could help readers to understand the relationship between the two more deeply and clearly.

In the small paper, the content, type and language style of the original text are briefly introduced. In the process of translation, which translation theories and translation skills are used, points out the major difficulties during the translation and the solution. The thesis has a clear theme, not the empty theoretical description, but a combination of my translation practice.
