一、教材内容分析
This unit is the thirteenth unit in People’s Education Edition of Grade 9. This unit focuses on the topic of protecting the environment. Talking about pollution and environmental protection as a communicative function. This lesson focuses on these contexts to review the continuous tense, present perfect tense, passive voice. Section A takes environmental protection as the theme. and discuss with others using the sentence patterns related to this lesson. It also introduce the types of pollution and how to recycle waste. Section B introduces more vocabulary about environmental protection. Listening and speaking activities, reading activities and collaborative activities are centered on environmental protection. Students can further talk about what they should do and what they shouldn’t do from an environmental protection point of view. The lesson can stimulate student’s awareness of environmental protection. Students will be aware of the meaning of recycling waste by reading the passage in this lesson. The post-reading activities enable students to love our earth, and help students to set up the correct consciousness of environmental protection, pollution prevention, and environmental protection.

Grade Nine students have undergone great changes in all aspects of study through two years of study. To improve their English study, we should take different measures. The first type of students has clear goals and is motivated. These students have high interest in English, solid foundation and strong ability to use English. For this group of students, the key is to guide them in their ability to use English. Other students are weak-willed and have poor foundations. They have a good command of basic knowledge such as words and phrases, but their ability to use them is a little weak. So we should encourage them and improve their confidence.
