一、教材内容分析

This unit is the unit 7 in the book of “New Target English” of the ninth-grade volume. There are 5 periods in this unit. This unit takes "rules" as the central topic, discusses the rules that students should abide by in their life and study, and discuss students' attitudes and opinions towards these rules as the main line. It shows the language functions of being allowed or not allowed to do something, describing the reasons for agreement or disagreement, and organically combines the topic, communicative function and language structure. This unit talks about the topics that students are very familiar with and closely related to life and study - family rules, school rules and other rules and regulations, which can arouse students' resonance and interest in learning. Through the study of this unit, students learn to use the passive voice of "should allow sb to do" and "should (not) be allowed to do" to talk about whether they should be allowed or not to do something in their study and life, express their opinions, state the reasons for their agreement or disagreement, and then expand to reading. The textbook always focuses on the theme of "rules". It runs through the main line of "talk about what you are allowed to do，agree and disagree". It has strong usability, wide coverage and large amount of language use.
