摘要：随着英语的普及，英汉之间的翻译变得越发重要。 翻译被认为是一种跨文化交际活动， 交际活动自然也离不开特定的语境。除此以外，具体的语境在正确理解源语言和目标语这一方面又会产生不同的效果， 因此语境在翻译中起着举足轻重的作用。本论文将进一步研究语境和翻译之间的密切联系。本论文首先介绍语境的概念以及语境的分类。其次,分析语境的功能和作用以进一步了解语境。最后，细致分析每一种语境对英汉翻译产生的影响。
