摘要：博大精深的中国传统文化是中华民族的瑰宝。《论语》作为中华传统文化中儒家学派的代表作品，收集了孔夫子的政治主张、道德标准等内容，它无疑是中国传统文化中的一颗珍宝。对于《论语》一书的翻译活动，一方面是继承与传播中华文化的重要有效的渠道。另一方面，它为外国人了解中国精神、传统习俗等方方面面打开了一扇窗。而生态翻译理论作为一种全新的翻译理论，主张在翻译活动中从原文的内在结构出发，循坏原作固有的生态结构来在另一种语言上进行再现，因此它涉及原有翻译理论从未涉足的领域，体现了创新性思维在翻译领域的应用。但译作质量参差不齐的问题十分显著，甚至存在胡译、乱译现象。而辜鸿铭的《论语》英译本拥有较高的整合度且符合规范准确的翻译标准，研究其英译本对于深入研究生态翻译理论意义重大、对翻译活动的创新发展具有借鉴意义。
