摘要：本文首先简述了美国肥皂剧《欲望都市》的故事情节和背景，对剧中四位主人公进行了简单的介绍，从四位女主人公的个性特征入手，通过分析她们在现实生活中情感、事业方面的遭遇，引申出具有普遍意义的现代女权意识趋向。通过从事业，友情，爱情三个方面剖析四位女主人公的人物形象和情节，突出其独特的女权主义观点。文章分别从男尊女卑到男女平等的社会地位的变化、女性意识的被动到主动的变化、女性性压迫到心理解放的变化三个方面来介绍女权主义的特征和表现，从而丰富对女权主义的研究。
