一、教材内容分析
This unit is the seventh unit in the first volume of Grade 8 Go for it. Through pictures and dialogues, introduce the topic in this unit of “life in the future”, and guide students to make predictions of the future with “will”. Section A focuses on the topic of “the future world” and presents the language function of using the simple future tense to talk about the predictions of the future. The key point of Section A is to master the usage of the simple future tense, including the usage of the “there be” structure in the simple future tense. The difficult point in learning is the usage of “more, fewer and less”. It involves the modification of countable nouns and uncountable nouns by “more, fewer and less”. Section B extends the topic of Section A to the topic of “personal future life”. The key point of this part is to deepen the understanding of the simple future tense by comparing it with the simple present tense and the simple past tense. Finally, students can understand the usage of the simple future tense in the discourse, and try to use the tense to talk about their own predictions of the future life. This unit consists of five periods.

Therefore, the teacher attracts students’ attention by showing pictures and videos in teaching to stimulate students’ interest.
