一、教材内容分析
This unit is the fifth unit in the first volume of Grade 7 Go for it. In this unit, students will complete tasks to learn how to ask for things that others have, explain their own feelings and thoughts, and answer questions about owning things by asking the general questions that guided by do/does. They will learn some adjectives to illustrate how they feel about things. In the open teaching process, when the students have complete tasks, they can distinguish the names of various sports and articles, ask others about their preferences and make suggestions, and accurately express their likes and dislikes of things.
The main content of this unit is to learn the simple present tense questions of “have” and their affirmative and negative answers. This topic is closely related to students’ daily life. It is easy to arouse students’ interest in learning, which is helpful to improve students’ comprehensive ability, especially the ability of speaking. This unit will continue to study the simple present tense, which is an indispensable and essential tense in our lives. The new curriculum standard requires students to focus on mastering the present tense, which is very frequently used in English. Learning the usage of this tense will be of great help to learning and communication of other tenses in the future.
二、学习者特征分析
The students in the first grade are lively in character, and have a strong desire for knowledge and expression. Most of them are very active in class, but some students still have bad habits formed in primary school, such as not listening carefully in class, not finishing homework on time, low learning efficiency and so on. In the knowledge reserve, they have a foundation of English, and most not only can read independently and memorize words for a long time, but also can read articles and understand the meaning of the text correctly. However, some students still can’t preview the content independently and are poor in vocabulary, which means they are not able to learn systematically. Therefore, the teacher needs to use different teaching designs to arouse their interest.
