一、教材内容分析
This lesson is the sixth unit of the second book of seventh grade. This class focuses on the topic of daily activities to develop a variety of teaching activities such as listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Its core teaching content uses the present tense to talk about what people are doing. Although the focus of this unit is the present tense, I do not intend to explain too much about grammar during the teaching process. I plan to design various activities to provide students with opportunities to practice, and to help students become familiar with the use of the present continuous tense in imitation, repetition and application. So task-based teaching method is used and students study in groups, aiming to cultivate their cooperative spirit and make them competitive. The purpose of all activities is to learn how to use language for communication and to lay the foundation for future study and life. This topic is close to daily life, and the language materials are derived from the actual life of students, so it helps to increase students' interest in learning English.
二、学习者特征分析
Most of the students in the seventh grade have weak listening and speaking ability, and emphasize on knowledge accumulation but they have poor comprehension, poor writing ability, and single way of memorizing words. However, most students have clear learning goals, high learning enthusiasm, and self-motivated learning, but they still need correct guidance from teachers. In order to prevent students from being polarized, it is necessary to increase their awareness of learning, guide them to learn actively, master learning skills, improve learning efficiency, and encourage students to maximize their enthusiasm and initiative.
