一、教材内容分析
This unit is the seventh unit in the first volume of Grade 7 Go for it. The theme of this unit is talking about the price of clothes and expressing gratitude. In Section A, this part starts with presenting the clothing vocabularies and some sentences about how to ask about the price of clothes.These sentences lead to the grammatical focus of this unit, such as “How much is. . .? It’s. . . . How much are. . .? They’re…” At the same time, this part is also introduce how to use adjectives to describe the characteristics of clothing. Then, the textbook designs a shopping dialogue to practice the main sentence patterns of asking about price and highlights the grammatical key points and difficulties of this unit. Besides, pair of work can help students consolidate the knowledge they have learned. In section B, at first, students will learn cardinal numbers form 10 to 31 through listening, speaking, reading and writing.This part designs many activities such as listen to dialogue, find objects and pair work in order to realize the combination of new and old knowledge.The reading material of this unit is an advertisement about promotion in clothes store.The post-reading activities enable students to reproduce the information in the text through basic structure, which can not only deepen the understanding of the article, but also prepare for the writing later. So the topic of “talking about clothing” is close to students’ life, and can easily arouse students' interest in learning and make them be willing to participate in relevant activities.

Grade Seven students are generally interested in English and they have strong curiosity for knowledge. They are both curious and worried about learning English and hope to be recognized by others. But students who have just entered junior school are generally poor in basic English knowledge and listening and speaking ability. In addition, some students are not clear about the purpose of learning English and lack confidence in expressing themselves in English. Therefore, we should make more use of multimedia courseware, create a specific situation that students like and attract students' attention by some musics and pictures. Then let students actively participate in teaching activities through group work and role play, so as to better achieve the established teaching objectives of this course and receive more ideal teaching effect.
