一、教材内容分析   
 
This unit is the ninth unit in the first volume of Grade 7 Go for it, there are five periods in this unit. The main objective of this unit is to develop students’ initial comprehensive language ability through English learning and promote psychological development. It is aiming to let students learn to talk about their favourite subject and give reasons. The topic in this unit is "subject" and the class involves listening, speaking, reading and writing activities. Students' learning activities are carried out in real life scenes. The teaching content provides the real materials for the study. And it helps students get the right sense of balancing study and pursuing dreams with action. This unit fully embodies the guiding ideology of the new curriculum standard, and makes full use of the task-based teaching method in English class.
 
二、学习者特征分析
 
     After three years of English learning in primary school, the students in Grade 7 have a preliminary understanding of English and have mastered simple words, so they have a positive attitude to think and basic learning ability. When students learn English, they have acquired the basic knowledge and skills, as well as their attitude towards English learning. The students are active in answering questions. But they have many deficiencies in the writing and speaking parts. It’s easy for students to lose their focus after a period of study. Therefore, teachers must design interesting classroom activities to attract students’ attention. Emphasis should be placed on strengthening students' listening, speaking and writing training. Students are young, lively and active who are interested in games, songs and pictures. And they like visual thinking.
