一、教材内容分析
 
This unit is the sixth unit in the first volume of Grade 7 Go for it. This unit mainly focuses on the communicative function of “talking about the likes of things”, and takes the verb “like” as an example to further learn the usage of verbs in the present tense. The article about Cindy’s eating habits helps the students know what is healthy food, what is junk food and how to make a balanced diet. Because the content of this unit is close to the reality of students’ life, they have the desire and appeal to express, so their learning efficiency will be improved and their ability to choose healthy food in life will be improved accordingly. The mastery of sentence pattern “Do/Does you/he/she like…?” is the focus of teaching. Through the study of this unit, students can use key words, phrases to talk about things they like and dislike, so as to deepen their love of English. There are 4 periods in this unit.
 
 
二、学习者特征分析
 
Students of Grade seven have been exposed to simple English since primary school and have a certain understanding of basic knowledge, their English foundation, language learning ability and application ability are still relatively weak. However, as they have just entered junior high school, they are very interested in English, which is beneficial for their English learning at this stage. Therefore, when teaching, teachers must patiently guide students and attract students’ interest in learning English with activities that students are interested in so as to lay a good foundation for English learning in senior grades.
